FESTIVAL OVERVIEW

1. FESTIVAL INFO:
KARIBU MUSIC FESTIVAL, 7th -9th November 2014, Bagamoyo, TANZANIA

2. FESTIVAL SUMMARY:
Karibu Music Festival is an annual Three-days INTERNATIONAL music festival created by Karibu Cultural Promotions Organization (KCPO: NGO) and Legendary Music Entertainment and Promotion Company Ltd. in Tanzania main land. It will be held at Bagamoyo, on 500 acres grounds alongside the beach at the College of Arts and Culture (TASUBA) this year. The main attraction of the festival is the mixture of Music, Dance and Cultural Exposure, where by different artistes from different parts of the world will be invited to share the stage with the local East African artistes.
The festival goal is nurturing and promoting African music and culture to the world, as well as introducing other countries’ cultures to Africa, and building up friendship/interests/collaboration opportunities among all participants. The Festival will focus on different genre of music basing on its influence and popularity, from African Music to world music namely, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Hip hop, Jazz, Country, Electronic and other alternative music.
The festival will also feature Musicians selling and showcasing their CDs (Albums), craftsmen and artisans selling unique products, cultural food and drink vendors, also a comedy tent, cinema tent, and a graffiti tent for more art adventures.

4. FESTIVAL SCALE:
The number of expected audience: 5,000-7,000 per day/ Total: 15,000-21,000 people in 3days

01:00Pm – 04:00Pm: Cultural Tents (Art, Cinema, Graffiti) & Art/Crafts Sales booth
04:00Pm – 00:00Am: Live Music Performance in the main stage
